Elaine was born in Kent, as she says, quite a long time ago.
She married into the RAF and spent many years living abroad and in the
U.K. She moved to Malvern with her second husband in 1990.
She took up painting and drawing in 1997 when she joined Tia Lambert's
drawing class at Malvern Hills College. Until that time she had mostly
been interested in dressmaking and photography.
After moderate success in the drawing class, Elaine decided to have a
go at watercolour painting, still with Tia Lambert, which shows in her
flower studies.
Elaine has also been influenced by her friend, Aubrey Phillips, who demonstrates
his style of painting to the students at the college.
